What we do
A simpler way to discover a stay in France
Holiday House France is a France-only discovery platform for independently owned holiday homes, gîtes, cottages, villas and other characterful places to stay.
We help travellers find independent accommodation across France and send enquiries directly to the property owner or manager. Holiday House France does not add a guest booking fee.
For owners, the aim is equally straightforward: present the property clearly, keep control of the guest relationship and receive genuine enquiries without being hidden behind a mass-market booking experience.
Why we built it
Built by holiday-home owners, for holiday-home owners
Hello, we are Mark and Rachel and holiday-home owners ourselves. Holiday House France grew from a simple idea: Independent owners should be able to present their properties and holidaymakers should be able to speak directly to the people who know those properties best.
We wanted to create something more personal than a mass-market booking platform — focused entirely on France, built around independent properties, designed to keep the relationship between guest and owner at the heart of the enquiry.
We are building Holiday House France independently and improving by listening closely to the owners using the site and to the holidaymakers searching for somewhere special to stay.
