Le Clos de la Garenne

Our very long stone-built house, typical from the Charentes, was built and extended from 1650 to 1900. Its many rooms are wide and bright and every window or door overlook at the huge woody parkland.
On the ground floor, opening on the big terrace surrounding the building, four common rooms are opened to our guests:
- the old kitchen with its big farm table and its little bar where we serve breakfasts;
- the sitting room with its antic family furniture and objects, books, games and curiosities;
- the dining room where we sometimes share our dinner;
- the billiard room and its amazing collection of antic scales and weights (even British ones!).
From the kitchen, the old staircase leads to the first floor and its bedrooms sleeping 10 people:
- a double bedroom with queen size bed and bathroom ensuite (shower, sink, toilet);
- a triple bedroom with queen size bed and single bed and bathroom ensuite (shower, sink, toilet);
- a big family suite of two bedrooms (one with queen size bed and one with three single beds) and common bathroom ensuite (shower, sink, toilet).
In an independent Cottage sleeping 3 and fully accessible to disabled people:
- a triple family bedroom with queen size bed and single bed and bathroom ensuite (shower, sink, toilet) and terrace.

We have equiped and decorated all rooms with our heart, mixing antic furniture and comfortable modern beds, preserving the original character or past centuries and keeping in mind sustainability.
Babies are welcome.
Pets are not allowed.
Parking available with electric charger device.
Outdoor games on the property and in the village.
Shops, restaurants and TGV railway station in SURGERES, our local town at 5 km.

PUYRAVAULT is a quiet small village, South MARAIS POITEVIN and just in the middle of LA ROCHELLE, ROCHEFORT, NIORT and SAINT JEAN D'ANGELY.
CHARENTE MARITIME offers plenty to discover: beaches, islands, marshland, gorgeous cities and tiny villages, castles and abbeys, cost fortifications, museums, festivals...
