La Montgrande B&B Room 1

La Montgrande is a beautiful maison de maître set in 2 acres of peaceful garden, with the added bonus of being in the centre of a lively market village!
So you can easily walk (185m) to amenities including 4 bars, 3 restaurants, boulangerie/patisserie, post office, pharmacy, florist, beautician, twice weekly market and more.
The 2 rooms are next to each other and the only rooms in that part of the house. They are divided by a lovely sitting area with a tea & coffee station for guests to help themselves to.
Room 1 is the focus of this listing.
It is decorated (by us) with peaceful blue and cream colours, and has some luxury touches such as feather duvet and pillows, superking size bed, dressing table and chair with large mirror, and thick quality towels. The en suite bathroom has an open walk in shower and ‘his and hers’ sinks.
The garden has a designated area for B&B guests to enjoy the sunny weather, with sofa, 2 armchairs, a coffee table and parasol for shade.
Breakfast can also be enjoyed in the garden! Our breakfasts are continental but we guarantee you won’t go away hungry! They are often mentioned in our reviews.

Further afield from Aulnay there is plenty to see and do. We are within driving distance of some beautiful places including La Rochelle, Île de Ré, Saintes, Cognac for tasting experiences and much more. The beaches are just under an hour away.
