New Beginnings Barn

Welcome to New Beginnings Barn, a spacious holiday gîte set in the peaceful Normandy countryside near Chaulieu (50150) Surrounded by open countryside and rural views, it’s a lovely place to slow down, spend time together and explore this beautiful corner of France — without being miles away from everything you need.

🛏️ Sleeping up to 8 guests, it is ideal for families, groups of friends or couples travelling together. With three bedrooms, each with its own ensuite facilities, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy your stay. Consisting of one double room, one room with two singles and one room with a king sized bed plus sofa bed. With the addition of a sofa bed on the ground floor.

🌿 Outside, guests can enjoy the large shared garden and outdoor areas, with space to sit, eat, relax and make the most of the countryside around you. It’s a setting where you can enjoy a quiet morning coffee, an evening barbecue or simply sit back and watch the world go by. Plenty of seating with bbq facilities.

Amenities are a short 5-10 min drive. Sourdeval and Tinchebray. With Vire and Flers being just 15 minutes, giving you easy access to supermarkets, shops, restaurants, cafés and other everyday amenities. For those who want to get out and explore, the surrounding Normandy countryside is ideal for walking, cycling, sightseeing and golf, with plenty of villages, markets and places of interest within easy reach. The Caen ferry is also approximately an hour away, making New Beginnings Barn a convenient base for exploring Normandy by car.

🚲 Whether you're looking for an active break, a peaceful countryside escape or somewhere to enjoy time together with family and friends, there's plenty of flexibility here. If you're travelling as a larger family or group, from 2027 our second independent gîte, La Petite Etable, will also be available next door, providing the opportunity for larger groups to stay close together while still having their own separate accommodation.

🏡 New Beginnings Barn forms part of our longère, and we live on the property. We’re nearby if you need us during your stay, but your holiday and your privacy come first. We’re happy to offer local knowledge or help when needed, while allowing you to enjoy your time in Normandy at your own pace.
